Cercia produces an "Annual Report" of its work
Cercia (The Centre of Excellence for Research in Computational Intelligence and Applications) was launched on 1 January 2003, as a joint project between Advantage West Midlands (AWM) and the University of Birmingham. The original motivation for the creation of Cercia was to exploit the world-class research already present in the Natural Computation Group of the School of Computer Science for the benefit of industry and business in the West Midland region. Since then, the shared vision between AWM and the University of Birmingham has led to a more broadly defined centre with a regional focus. Cercia has been working at the cutting edge of research and transferring our knowledge to the local business and beyond.
You can also find out more about the people who work at Cercia, as well as the management structure for the centre. We also have a number of regional and industrial partners.
