Simon was originally appointed as Computer Systems Office, responsible for managing the computer systems used by both Cercia and within the School of Computer Science, including managing the HPCC Cluster and HPCC Lab. Simon is also responsible for the purchase of computer hardware used by Cercia. In 2007, Simon was promoted to Systems Development & Operations Manager.
Simon has experience of installing and managing Windows, Solaris and Linux based systems and is able to adapt easily and quickly to working with new systems.
